California Bar Shooter Was a Veteran Who May Have Had PTSD

    November 8, 2018

Authorities have identified the shooter at a California bar as Ian David Long, a Marine combat veteran who may have suffered from PTSD. The 28-year-old lived with his mother on a quiet street in the town of Newbury Park. FBI agents descended on the bungalow-style house early Thursday morning. The Borderline Bar and Grill, the scene of the mass shooting that left 13 people dead including the gunman, is just seven miles from Long’s home. He took his mother's car to make the 15-minute drive.
