Stranded Boaters Fight Off Sharks
The Coast Guard arrived just in the nick of time to rescue several stranded fishermen off the coast of Louisiana. The drama started when their boat sank 25 miles from land. They cleverly lashed together two coolers to serve as a liferaft. Then, the three men clung on for 28 hours, struggling to stay afloat as they fended off circling sharks. One of the men managed to send a GPS image of their location to a friend before his phone died.
