See the Big Ears on the World’s Tiniest Foxes
December 8, 2023
Pascal and Lazlow are fennec foxes who have just been welcomed to a new home in the UK to aid in conservation efforts. Fennec are the smallest breed of fox in the world. They weigh less than 4 pounds, and can reach about 16 inches in length. The largest part of this breed? Their big ears! According to the Smithsonian’s National Zoo and Conservation Biology Institute, the primary threat to fennec foxes is human interference and losing their natural habitats to cities and towns.
