Dad of College Student Shot to Death on Parents Weekend

This year’s Family Weekend at Marist College outside New York City ended in tragedy. The father of a Marist student was killed when gunfire erupted in the hotel where the family was staying. Paul Kutz was a 53-year-old accountant from Long Island. The innocent bystander was struck when shots rang out in the lobby of the Courtyard by Marriott. Kutz was rushed to a hospital, but his life could not be saved.
