Donald Trump Gripes About the Press During 1990 Opening of Atlantic City Casino
In April 1990, Donald Trump opened what he called “The Eighth Wonder of the World” when he cut the ribbon on the Trump Taj Mahal casino in Atlantic City, N.J. During the ceremony, he sat down with Inside Edition when he showed he had problems with the media even back then, saying, “You have a lot of dishonest reporters in my opinion. You have a lot of dishonest reporters who willingly know they are wrong." Trump sold his interest in the property in 2009, and it closed for good in 2016.
