Driver Identified in Crash That Killed 2 Outside Concert

The driver of a deadly crash on New Year’s day outside a Rochester concert venue has died. The suspect, Michael Avery, was from Syracuse and had several gas canisters in his car at the time, police say. “Avery sped up, crossed into the oncoming lane of traffic, and appears to have intentionally been driving towards the pedestrian crossing," Rochester Police Chief David Smith said in a press conference.
