Father of 13-Year-Old Killed in Traffic Stop Says 'This is What Pain Looks Like'

These parents are grieving the death of their son, 13-year-old Stanley Davis III, known to family and friends as SJ. SJ died on Dec. 26, 2021, as a Florida police officer attempted to pull him over for reckless driving on his dirt bike. An initial police report says SJ was thrown from his dirt bike “after impact with the median curb,” but SJ’s family is not convinced that is actually what occurred. Authorities say the unnamed officer was placed on administrative leave pending an investigation.
