Harlem Gospel Choir Performs in Honor of Martin Luther King Jr.
January 17, 2022
The Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. would have been 93 this year had he not been assassinated in 1968 at age 39. On the holiday honoring the birth of the Civil Rights leader, some lifted their voices in song. In New York City, the Harlem Gospel Choir performed a concert for those wishing to celebrate his legacy. In Dallas, the Black Academy of Arts and Letters held a rousing concert featuring gospel great, Kim Burrell.
