Dobby’s Grave in Wales Stays Open — For Now

Dobby the Elf’s grave is safe, for now. Freshwater West Beach in Wales has become a pilgrimage for die-hard Harry Potter fans. Fans created a memorial grave and brought offerings of Dobby’s favorite things. Wales’ National Trust almost got rid of the pile of stones and cross that mark the fictional house elf’s final resting place, reportedly over too many tourists and environmental concerns. After an eight-month review, the Trust says for now the monument will stay.
