London was brought to a standstill on July 7, 2005 when four suicide bombers detonated explosives on the city’s subway and buses. Fifty-six people were killed, including the four bombers, and more than 700 others were injured in the attacks. For some, the scenes of people running to safety were reminiscent of New York City on 9/11, especially to one woman who lost her husband in the 2001 attack on America.
