‘Kid Reporter’ Who Interviewed President Obama Dies at 23

In 2009, Damon Weaver was a curious 11 year-old whose small frame sat in front of one of the world’s most powerful people. Fresh off an interview with then Vice President Biden, Weaver asked President Obama about education, bullying and if he would be his newest friend. It launched him into the spotlight, interviewing with the likes of Oprah and Dwyane Wade at the time. His sister broke the news that Weaver had passed away.
