Man Goes on Real Life ‘Forrest Gump’ Journey From California to Florida

Some people are calling this guy the real life “Forrest Gump,” after he ran clear across America, just like Tom Hanks’ character in the iconic film. Don Muchow, 59, ran from Disneyland in California, all the way to the east coast, ending his run in Disney World in Florida. He ran a total of 2,845 miles, and it took him 14 months to complete the journey, thanks to a delay from the pandemic. He wanted to do the run to inspire other people who have type 1 diabetes, from which he suffers.
