Marvel Makes Frontline Healthcare Workers Into Superheroes in New Comic Book

The Marvel universe just got a lot bigger! Move over Spider-Man, Iron Man, and Black Panther, and make room for some real life hero nurses! Marvel has released a new comic book series called “The Vitals: True Nurse Stories,” a tribute to front line health care workers. Jessi Showalter is a nurse at West Penn Hospital in Pittsburgh who said that her life depicted in the comic is surprisingly realistic. She and her colleagues showed their children how they’d been made into comic book heroes.
