The bizarre encounter happened recently during the league championship game at a private Los Angeles high school. He became furious and yelled at referees after they called a technical foul on one of his sons. Student broadcaster Jake Lancer was calling the play-by-play when Barnes came up to him. The incident appears to have cost the NBA veteran his job. He was fired from his job covering the Sacramento Kings.
