Meet 17-Year-Old Rachel Zegler, Named as Maria in Spielberg's 'West Side Story'

Rachel Zegler has been cast as Maria in Steven Spielberg's "West Side Story" movie. Out of 30,000 people to audition, the high school senior from New Jersey landed the coveted role. A few years ago, Zegler starred as the same character in a high school production. She often shares videos of herself singing covers on her YouTube channel, from "Hamilton" to "Be More Chill."
