21-Year-Old Pilot Meets Hero Who Helped With Plane Landing

Twenty-one-year-old student pilot Taylor Hash met veteran pilot Chris Yates for the first time after he talked her through landing a plane. After taking off from a Michigan airport, Hash was about to land her plane when the nose gear fell off. Yates saw the nose gear fall and knew he had to help the pilot. That's when air-traffic control let Yates guide Hash through her emergency landing.
