Miss Nevada Kataluna Enriquez Is 1st Openly Transgender Miss USA Contestant

Kataluna Enriquez recently made history as the first openly transgender Miss USA contestant to win. She beat out 23 other contestants to become Miss Nevada. “I am a woman. I am a proud woman.” Kataluna told Inside Edition’s Jim Moret that the road to winning the competition was not an easy one. But she says she’s received the support she needs from the Miss Nevada organization. Kataluna will be going national later this year; the Miss USA pageant will be held on November 29th.
