A woman who was shot 12 times after a gunman opened fire during a Cincinnati bank robbery walked away alive despite her injuries. As Whitney Austin recovers, she needs help from her husband for everyday tasks. She has had surgery to repair shattered bones. Austin, 37, spoke to Inside Edition for the first time about her injuries. “I wanted to make sure that I could talk to my husband before I died, because at that moment in time I thought I was dying,” she says.
