Nearly 200 Galapagos Baby Turtles Found Wrapped in Plastic Rescued in Ecuador

By the time officials at Ecuador’s Galapagos Ecological Airport opened some luggage they found suspicious, it was too late for 10 baby turtles. They’d already perished, wrapped in plastic and stuffed inside a suitcase. Authorities were able to save 185 of the little reptiles, who they say were being trafficked. Luckily, there is a happy ending for the baby turtles who survived. Inside Edition Digital’s Stephanie Officer has the details.
