Nebraska 15-Year-Old Performs at Dance Competition While Having Cancer

Leigh Ashworth, 15, danced with passion and grace at an Omaha, Nebraska dance competition, impressing the judges who awarded her second place. She says the judges did not know she was battling stage 4 metastatic colorectal cancer, and had only been discharged from the hospital weeks earlier. Ashworth says she hopes the performance shows people that “cancer doesn't define you and that no matter what you go through, you can always do what you love.” Inside Edition Digital has more.
