Nebraska Teen Denied Diploma for Owing School $15

All Ellie McCormick from Omaha, Nebraska, wanted to do was get her diploma and be done with high school. But she was denied. The 18-year-old’s diploma was held because she owed the school $15. It turns out, she never returned her laptop bag that she lost her freshman year, and the school wanted her to pay up. “I just kind of forgot about it, to be honest, because it's a laptop bag,” she explained.
