Nicki Minaj’s Father Robert Maraj Dies in Hit and Run in New York’s Long Island

Robert Maraj, father to singer Nicki Minaj, was killed in a hit and run accident this weekend. On the evening of February 12, Maraj was struck by a car in the Long Island town of Mineola. A witness told WCBS, “We just saw a jacket ripped open, cut open, trying to make sure the man had a pulse.” Nassau County police say he was taken to nearby Roslyn Hospital in critical condition. The 64 year old Maraj was pronounced dead the following day.
