It’s an iconic movie moment as a 23-year-old John Travolta struts down the streets of Brooklyn in the opening scene of ‘Saturday Night Fever.’ The film just turned 40. Super fans boogied the night away at the very location where those dance scenes were shot at 2001 Odyssey Disco. For one night only, the venue, which is now a Chinese restaurant, returned to look like it did in the film. Over 300 people showed up, as did Karen Lynn Gorney, who played Travolta’s love interest in the film.
