Surgeon General Warns Drinking Alcohol Increases Risk of Cancer

Here's another reason to try a Dry January. Surgeon General Dr. Vivek Murthy released a report saying alcohol consumption is the third leading preventable cause of cancer in the United States. He says it's responsible for 100,000 cases of cancer and about 20,000 deaths every year. Murthy says the report also found only 45 percent of Americans were aware that alcohol consumption increases their cancer risk. Inside Edition Digital’s Mara Montalbano has more.
