Surveillance Video Caught Moment Toddler Fell to Death From Cruise Ship Window

The man who held his little granddaughter before she fell from a cruise ship window made his first appearance in Puerto Rican court Wednesday after being charged in her death, a moment that was caught on surveillance video on the Royal Caribbean ship, as it was docked in Puerto Rico. It shows 18-month-old Chloe Wiegand leading her grandfather Salvatore "Sam" Anello to a bank of windows on the children’s pool deck of the ship. He lifts her up to a rail at a large window, then suddenly, she falls to her death 100 feet below. Anello has said he did not realize the window Chloe wanted to look through was open.
