Days after Valentine's Day 1974, Carla Walker was kidnapped, raped and murdered just miles from her Fort Worth, Texas, home. The teenager's case went cold for decades but her family never gave up fighting to solve it. Then in 2020, her killer was caught using advanced DNA technology. Now, a bipartisan bill is being named in her honor that can give federal money for DNA research in cold cases like hers and solve the crimes that have kept other families of victims waiting.
