The World’s Oldest Gorilla Celebrates 66th Birthday at the Berlin Zoo

Fatou, who calls the Berlin Zoo home, celebrated her 66th birthday this week. 

Not only is she the oldest gorilla at this zoo, she’s the oldest gorilla in the world. For the celebration, she enjoyed a variety of berries, fruits, salads, and herbs, a rare treat as her usual diet is mainly soft veggies. The average lifespan for a gorilla is about 40 years, so Fatou has surpassed that by over two decades. Inside Edition Digital has more.
