Thieves Steal Air Conditioners as Heatwave Continues Across the US

Thieves are coming to people's houses and disconnecting their air conditioner units. The bad guys are after the copper piping that's found in the large central air condensers sitting outside millions of homes across the U.S. It's not just the act of thievery that's so upsetting. When air conditioner thieves cut the lines, dangerous chemicals are released. Air conditioner expert Michael Iarrapino says the air conditioning units should be in a well-lit area to deter thieves at night.
