U.S. Military Drone Strike Kills Several Children in Kabul, Afghanistan

As many as 10 Afghan civilians – including 7 children – were killed in a U.S. military drone strike in August. The strike was intended to target members of ISIS in Kabul, but an inquiry by military investigators showed that a car targeted in the attack was being driven by a member of an aid organization with no ties to terrorist groups. General Frank McKenzie, commander of the U.S. Central Command, issued an apology for the strike.
