Vigil Held for 16-Year-Old Ma’Khia Bryant Killed in Ohio Shooting

Vigils and protests took place in Ohio honoring Ma’Khia Bryant, the 16-year-old girl who was shot by Columbus police. Community members gathered for a vigil, eventually marching downtown in front of Columbus Police headquarters and past the Ohio Supreme Court. On the campus of Ohio State University, students protested by staging a sit-in at the Ohio Union, the school’s student activity center. The activists there want Ohio State to sever ties with the Columbus Police Department.
