Republicans pushed back over a question by a Democratic congressman whether Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth had been drinking when he was texting the Signal group chat the details of the attack on Houthis in Yemen. Tulsi Gabbard brushed off the question during her hearing, but John Ratcliffe fired back. Hegseth had faced accusations from former co-workers claiming they had concerns about his drinking habits, but Hegseth has publicly denied he had a problem with alcohol.
