In 2008, Michael Phelps was on top of the world as the fastest swimmer at the Beijing Olympics. He caught the globe’s attention with his skills but also with his jaw-dropping diet. Phelps reportedly consumed more than 4,000 calories each morning. Inside Edition tried to scarf down his heavy breakfast. In 2013, New York City pastry chef Dominque Ansel debuted the 1,500-calorie cronut, which continues to cause a frenzy in the city.
