Woman Claims Scientology ‘Freewinds’ Cruise Ship Was Like a Prison

It may look beautiful on the open sea, but one woman says a Scientology cruise ship was more like prison. Valeska Paris is a former Scientologist who says she was ordered to board the Freewinds after her mother criticized the religion. “I was supposed to go for two weeks and I ended up being there for over eleven years,” she says. Paris claimed she was stopped from getting off the ship by security. The Freewinds is now under quarantine after a reported measles outbreak onboard.
