Thomas Markle and Doria Ragland divorced when their daughter was just 6 years old.
Meghan Markle’s father has been photographed dropping off flowers at his ex-wife's home in Los Angeles.
Thomas Markle carried the planter of purple petunias, as well as a hanging planter, to the front door of his ex-wife, Doria Ragland, whom he divorced about 30 years ago.
The moment was seen as a gesture of reconciliation as the two exes reportedly went through a nasty divorce. The duo will come together, however, on May 19 to give their daughter away at the royal wedding.
Paparazzi have been following Thomas Markle every step of the way since he left his home in Mexico, drove across the border in his Volvo, spent the night in San Diego and ended up here in his ex-wife’s middle class neighborhood to deliver the flowers.
It was a busy day of errands as he prepared for his flight to London.
Meanwhile, Markle’s estranged brother, who penned an angry letter imploring Prince Harry to call off the wedding, has written another, in which he asks for the opportunity to attend.
In the latest letter, obtained by InTouch magazine, he begs for a last-minute invite.
"Dear Meg, I'm sorry for venting my frustrations about he should call it off, but I was disappointed and confused not getting invited," Thomas Markle Jr. wrote.
"It’s not too late to send me an invite along with your entire family," he added. "It can be a royal wedding family reunion!"
Earlier this week, Inside Edition spoke to Markle’s estranged sister, Samantha Grant, about Thomas Jr.'s scathing first letter in which he characterizes the "Suits" actress as “a jaded, shallow, conceited women."
"The public take on this is, 'Maybe you haven't been invited to the wedding — all of you — because you speak out.' It is the other way around," Grant said. "We spoke out because she was totally disregarding the entire family."
