The two, who met in November, will split their time between Tennessee and New York.
For country singer Miranda Lambert and her new husband, it might be a long-distance relationship.
New York Police Department officer Brendan McLoughlin is staying on the force, where he is assigned to a precinct in midtown Manhattan. Lambert owns a 400-acre estate outside Nashville, Tennessee.
The two are expected to split their time between the two states.
The country star's whirlwind romance with a cop may not surprise those who know her. Her father is a former homicide and narcotics officer with the Dallas Police Department in Texas. He and Lambert's mother also ran a private investigation business.
Meanwhile, Lambert's ex-husband, Blake Shelton, says he stopped thinking about his former wife a long time ago, according to People magazine.
"He put Miranda in his rear view mirror long ago," the publication quoted a source as saying. "Their marriage ended and he moved on. Ever since, he is grateful every day."
Lambert announced Saturday that she had married McLoughlin last month in a secret ceremony.
