Trisha Ryan said she saw an employee snap a photo of her credit card.

An Ohio woman says she caught a Burger King employee snapping a photo of her credit card at the drive-thru.

Trisha Ryan told WKRC she pulled up to the window to pay after placing an order and handed over her credit card. She said she saw the employee hesitate for a fraction of a second, which made her pay closer attention than she might have otherwise.

“I saw him grab his phone line it up, hover it over something on the counter, took a picture, then he did some more handwork and then he took another picture and gave me my receipt," Ryan said.

"So I said, 'Hey, I just saw you take a picture of my card.' He’s like, 'No, I didn’t,' and he continued to argue with me."

Ryan said she got the manager of the fast food restaurant involved, who then confiscated the employee's phone and called police.

The phone allegedly contained other images of credit cards, according to police.

To be safe, Ryan said she canceled her card.

The employee was fired but does not currently face any criminal charges.

To avoid the same thing happening to you, police recommend keeping an eye on the cashier at the drive-thru. Also, make sure to check your bank statements regularly to spot any irregularities.
