Oprah is working on a series about mental health with the royals.
Oprah has Meghan Markle's back.
The media mogul appeared on CBS This Morning and said she feels Markle has been "portrayed unfairly" in the media.
Countless headlines criticizing Markle have been circulating for months, including that she is "difficult" to deal with. Her estranged dad and sister have also criticized the Duchess in numerous articles.
"I feel that if people really knew her, they would know that she is not only everything that we perceive of her as being graceful and dynamic and holding that position, but she just has a wonderful, warm, giving, loving heart. I see all the crazy press around her, and I think it's really unfair," Winfrey said.
Winfrey, who attended the Markle and Prince Harry’s 2018 wedding, appeared on the show to discuss the details of her new partnership with the royal couple. They are working on a docu-series that will cover mental health.
"Harry's co-creating this with me and executive producing with me,” Winfrey said. “We've had several meetings, secret meetings in London."
Harry has publicly spoken out his struggles after losing his mom.
"It is a huge responsibility to get this right," Harry wrote about the endeavor on Instagram. "Our hope is that this series will be positive, enlightening and inclusive."
