The mascot for a minor league baseball team in Maine brought down the house as he donned his best leotard and legwarmers for a dance routine to remember.
Though the Portland Sea Dogs lost 9-1 to the Reading Fightin Phils last Thursday, fans at that game were sure to have left in high spirits.
Slugger, the Portland Sea Dogs’ mascot, took to the field during ‘80s Night at Hadlock Field for a show-stopping performance.
He started dancing to Irene Cara’s "What a Feeling," made famous in 1983’s "Flashdance," before breaking out impressive moves to Bill Medley and Jennifer Warnes' "Time of My Life."
But the pièce de résistance came as Slugger and a man on the field recreated the iconic lift from the drama that made the song famous, 1987’s “Dirty Dancing.”
Fans cheered as Slugger ran toward the man, and the crowd went wild as the pair pulled off the move.
