Prince Harry Tears Up Talking About His Son Archie

The Duke of Sussex was giving a speech at the WellChild Awards when the moment happened.

Prince Harry loves his son — so much so that he started crying while talking about his beloved Archie, who is now 5 months, at the WellChild Awards, which advocate for children with serious illnesses.

The Duke of Sussex, 35, was in attendance with his wife Meghan Markle, 38, and began talking about becoming a parent for the first time.

“Last year, when my wife and I attended, we knew we were expecting our first child – no one else did at the time, but we did – and I remember….” Harry said, trailing off as he got choked up and his eyes welled with tears.

The emotional moment with was received with claps from attendees as he paused to gather himself.

“I remember squeezing Meghan’s hand so tight during the awards, both of us thinking what it would be like to be parents one day,” he continued.

“And more so, what it would be like to do everything we could to protect and help our child should they be born with immediate challenges or become unwell over time.”

Archie was born in May and has been seen in public a handful of times since. Harry recently confirmed that Archie is also sporting his signature red hair, saying it can be seen “in his eyebrows.”
