The video appears to show a man shouting at an elderly black woman on board a Ryanair flight.
Ryanair is facing criticism after a video posted online appears to show the airline's crew failing to stop a passenger who hurled racist insults at an elderly black woman.
The discount airline's flight was from Barcelona to London. The video, posted by Briton David Lawrence, shows a man shouting at a fellow passenger sitting in his row.
The footage shows Delsie Gayle being called "an ugly black b*****d," by a white man who is shouting at her to change seats. Her daughter comes to her defense, telling the man her mother is disabled and shouting at him to stop talking to her like that.
"I don't care whether she's f***ing disabled or not, if I tell her to get out, she gets out."
At another point he shouts, "Don't talk to me in a foreign language, you stupid ugly cow."
Afterward, Gayle told reporters she was "shocked. Nobody ever said those worlds to me," The Guardian reported.
The 77-year-old was moved to another seat. A steward stepped in to assist her and can be heard telling the man to "calm down," but he was not removed from the flight.
Ryanair said it had referred to matter to police. "We cannot comment further," the airline said in a statement.
