Tevin Biles-Thomas, 24, was arrested in connection with three murders.
Olympic gymnast Simone Biles expressed her sadness on social media this week, days after her brother was arrested on triple murder charges.
Biles, 22, took to Twitter on Monday, saying she is having a "hard time processing" the news.
"My heart aches for everyone involved, especially for the victims and their families," Biles wrote. "I want to express my sincere condolences to everyone affected by this terrible tragedy. I ask everyone to please respect my family’s privacy as we deal with our pain. XO."
Biles’ brother, Tevin Biles-Thomas, 24, was arrested Thursday in connection with three murders at a New Year’s Eve party in 2018.
Cleveland police said Delvante Johnson, 19, Toshaun Banks, 21, and Devaughn Gibson, 23, were murdered at an Airbnb rental when people who were not welcome in the home showed up and an “altercation ensued.”
Biles-Thomas, who is in the Army, has been charged with murder and voluntary manslaughter, among other charges. He is in custody and will be arraigned on Sept. 13.
In the past, Biles has spoken about how she grew up with her grandparents because her mom suffered from drug and alcohol abuse.
She didn’t grow up with her two brothers, according to reports.
"My parents saved me, they've set huge examples of how to treat other people, and they've been there to support me since day one. There's nothing I could say to them to thank them enough,” Biles previously said of her grandparents on "Dancing with the Stars."
