He plans to spend the money on his children.
A North Carolina man is "lovin’ it" after a decision to stop at McDonald’s earned him a $200,000 lottery win.
It all started when Edward Rackley stopped on his way to the fast food chain to buy a Back Scratch lottery ticket, he told North Carolina lottery officials.
As he waiting in the drive-thru line at McDonald’s he decided to check the ticket to see if he'd won anything.
"I had ordered 50 chicken nuggets and four plain hamburgers," Rackley said. "I figured while I was waiting, I might as well start scratching."
It was then that he realized he’d won $200,000, but he was so stunned, he asked the cashier at McDonald’s to check the ticket too.
"She confirmed it," Rackley said. "I was in fact seeing it right."
Rackley took home $141,003 after taxes. He said he plans on fixing his car and spoiling his kids with the cash.
"I know one thing," Rackley said. "Santa will be good to them this year."
