The Mississippi woman was holding a gun while telling black visitors to leave a campground.
A white campground manager in Mississippi was fired after a video went viral showing her holding a gun while ordering a black husband and wife to leave the area.
Kampgrounds of America dismissed the unidentified woman, according to spokesman Mike Gast. The organization "does not condone the use of a firearm in any manner," he said in a statement.
Jessica Richardson took to Facebook over Memorial Day Weekend and posted video of the encounter. "Today was a beautiful day so my husband (who's a vet), our 2-year-old dog, and myself, decided to Google a lake to visit and have a picnic," she wrote. "We found a lake in Starkville, MS, and decided to visit.
"Not five mins later a truck pulls up and a white lady screams at us, she then jumps out of her truck with a gun. And proceeded to point it at the three of us, simply because we didn't make reservations," she posted.
The couple left and stopped at the campground's office. "My husband stopped ... and talked with her husband (they're the property managers). The husband tells my husband that reservations aren't needed for the lake," Richardson wrote.
Her Facebook entry was titled "RACISM IS ALIVE AND WELL!!"
"She was just like, 'Get, get, you don't belong here,''' Richardson told CBS affiliate WCBI-TV. "Time stopped. Everything stopped. I was confused as to what was going on. It's not like we posed a threat to anybody out there walking our dog.
"There's nothing harmful about that."
