The 65-year-old model broke her arm and had to have surgery.
Christie Brinkley is being replaced by her daughter on "Dancing With the Stars" after severely injuring her arm.
Sailor Brinkley-Cook, 21, will stand in for her 65-year-old mother, who was forced to undergo surgery after shattering her arm during rehearsals for Monday night's premiere.
“We wish Christie a full and speedy recovery and look forward to seeing her in the audience, whenever possible, proudly supporting Sailor,” BBC Studios and ABC said in a joint statement.
"Showbiz is all about getting a break, and Sailor and I both got one on 'Dancing With the Stars' this season," Christie said in a statement. "Sailor joined the cast when I got mine … ouch somebody stop me, it hurts to laugh!"
Thankfully, Sailor and her mom are such look-alikes that Christie's performance outfit didn't even have to be altered, according to "Good Morning America."
As for Sailor, she's up to the task, telling "GMA": "I felt this high of just attacking something I was so afraid of and it felt like something I need to do."
She added: "I think it will change me."
