Two families in Georgia are devastated after an accidental shooting took the lives of two teenagers.
Devin Hodges, 15, was showing off a handgun inside a small shed, surrounded by three friends, according to the Gwinnett County Police Department. Police said the weapon accidentally went off, killing Hodges' friend, 17-year-old Chad Carless.
As officers arrived, Hodges was seen running between two homes. Then a shot rang out, authorities said.
Hodges had killed himself with the gun, police said.
"Our thoughts are with the families of both these young men," the department said in a statement.
Officers are investigating the shootings.
