Gutsy Kitten Survives Russian Invasion of Snake Island

A brave little black cat named Snake has a story to tell. The tiny feline is a survivor of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. It was born on Snake Island, a Ukrainian territory on the Black Sea. When Ukrainian forces surveyed Snake Island via drone, they spotted Snake the cat, and made the cat’s rescue one of their military objectives. When Ukraine resumed control of the island in early July, Snake approached the Special Forces team himself.
