King Charles' Face Replaces His Mother On the 50 Pence Coin
The very first coins featuring the profile of King Charles III have been struck at the UK’s Royal Mint. While the new monarch is taking his historical place on the currency, there’s still a nod to the late queen as 9.6 million of the coins will go into circulation, in honor of the 96 years Queen Elizabeth II lived. The profile of King Charles, who approved this likeness, will first appear on the 50 pence coin. Inside Edition Digital’s TC Newman has more.
