Teen's Dream of Playing Soccer on Hold After Being Hit by Car

A 14-year-old boy is recovering after being hit by a car. Julio Flores was planning on trying out for the soccer team as he began his freshman year of high school, but that dream has been put on hold. “The impact of the vehicle colliding with the young boy causes him to projected into the air and then colliding with the sidewalk. The driver failed to stop,” said Los Angeles Police Department’s Yesenia Emestica. Now, the only place that his bed fits is in the kitchen as he recovers at home.
