Missing Dad Who Allegedly Faked His Own Death Is Arrested
The dad accused of faking his own death and starting a new life with another woman overseas appeared in court. After flying home and surrendering to authorities, Ryan Borgwardt was booked into a Wisconsin jail. He decided to come home after appeals from law enforcement and his family. Officials say he abandoned his family four months ago when he faked his own drowning in a kayak accident. Borgwardt was charged with obstructing an officer. The judge entered a not-guilty plea on his behalf and set bail at $500.
