Cop Apologizes for Claiming Coffee Shop’s Bathroom Policy Was Racially Biased

A black NYPD officer is saying he was wrong when he claimed online that a Brooklyn coffee shop wouldn’t let him use the restroom after he said his white colleague had just done so. He posted the video on Facebook, insinuating that he was discriminated against, and leading to numerous violent threats against the cafe. Now he’s saying he was “factually wrong,” after the shop owner said the bathroom was closed to all, and security tapes show the white officer wasn’t allowed to use it either.
